Custom Officers Confiscate 105 Yachts in East Nusa Tenggara
On Saturday 2 August customs officers in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggra seized 105 yachts being used by participants of “The Sail Indonesia 2008”. “They are not allowed to leave port, as they have not obtained custom clearance, officers said. The event, organised by the Tourism Ministry, is aimed at increasing foreign tourist arrivals. From Kupang they are supposed to continue to Maumere (Papua), Mataram (West Nusa Tenggara), Denpasar (Bali), Java and Batam. (Source: Kompas)
